Expect jams with members of both bands!
Stella and PZ alternated sets over 4 sets. We did some seamless transitions between set changes, switching one band member at a time. Fun! (Note to self: when alternating sets, TELL THE AUDIENCE YOU WILL BE BACK TO PLAY ANOTHER SET!)

A laid-back neighborhood bar and local landmark in North Portland's University Park District for almost 50 years, the "T-Room" hosts some of the best funk/jazz bands in the Northwest on Fridays!

Stellakinesis is proud and excited to be joining this bill! Ozric Tentacles play mindblowing ambient psychedelic rock and have been our heroes for years. We'll play in the lounge EARLY until 10pm only, so come early. Mars Retrieval Unit opens in the big room.

Whew! What a night! Stellakinesis had an intense set, then we got to enjoy a marathon set from the Ozric Tentacles! Thanks to all the folks who came early to hear us. We made a bunch of new fans too! The Ozrics put forth perhaps the most psychedelic rock we've heard -- very inspiring. Our new tune "Arabisco" (which we debuted tonight) was inspired by them, but it won't be the only one! ??

Stellakinesis plays Saturday the 28th at 2pm on the outside stage. Several great jam bands from PDX and Eugene play later. There will be camping down the road with Twisted Whistle playing Dark Side of the Moon late night! The whole thing starts Friday night with MiMo and Papa Gaiyo. At the Skyway in Zigzag.
On the outdoor stage at the beautiful Skyway on route 26 near Mt. Hood, Stellakinesis was the first of several bands to play the main day of the festival, at 2:30pm. There was an alien costume party so the band was dressed up, and there were cool props and art work on stage. (Look for photos on Facebook and the Picasa album linked to from the website show archive page.) This was the first show with Travis' new custom DW drum set! Other bands -- Jupiter Hollow, the Empty Space Orchestra, Mars Retrieval Unit, and Jesta -- played until 2am, when the fest moved to the campground and Twisted Whistle played the Dark Side of the Moon within a dome.

Thanks everyone who came to Stellakinesis' first show at the Mt. Tabor Theater's Sideshow Lounge! We had a BLAST and everyone said they were blown away by us! The buzz is building...
The recording WILL be made available soon (warts and all) on archive.org. We'll also make another montage demo out of the best moments of the show.
